Carrying out a repair in a damp environment or directly in contact with water can be difficult when conventional adhesives are used. Moisture may reduce adhesion, interfere with the curing process or prevent the material from reaching the required level of strength.

For these applications, Magmont Epoxi Aqua provides a professional solution in stick format: a two-part epoxy putty specifically designed for fast repairs on damp and wet surfaces, as well as for certain underwater applications.

What is Epoxi Aqua?

Epoxi Aqua is a repair putty made up of two components: resin and hardener. Both materials are contained within the same stick and are activated when mixed manually.

By kneading the required amount, the two components combine to form a uniform and mouldable compound. Once applied, the putty begins to cure until it forms a solid and highly resistant material.

This format makes preparation easier because users can cut off only the amount required for each job and mix it directly, always following the manufacturer’s safety instructions.

Repairs in damp and aquatic environments

The main feature of Epoxi Aqua is its ability to maintain its properties in environments with high levels of moisture.

It is suitable for repairing wet surfaces and elements that remain in contact with water. This makes it a practical solution for maintenance, plumbing, construction, DIY projects and certain industrial applications.

It may be used for work on pipes, tanks, aquatic installations and other components where achieving a completely dry surface is not always possible.

Before use, it is important to check compatibility with the specific material and ensure that the planned repair falls within the applications listed in the technical data sheet.

Mixing and curing times

To activate the product correctly, the putty should be mixed for approximately 3 to 4 minutes at a temperature of 23°C.

During this process, both components must be thoroughly kneaded until the colour and texture are completely uniform. Incomplete mixing could affect the consistency and final strength of the repair.

Once prepared and applied, Epoxi Aqua has an approximate curing time of 8 to 10 minutes at 23°C. Ambient temperature may affect these times, so the work area and all necessary tools should be prepared before mixing begins.

How to apply the putty correctly

Before starting, remove dirt, grease, rust and any residue that could interfere with adhesion. Although the product is designed for damp environments, a clean surface will help achieve a more uniform and reliable result.

Next, cut off the required amount, knead it until fully blended and apply it by pressing it firmly onto the area to be repaired. During the first few minutes, the putty can be shaped and moulded to match the form of the component.

Once applied, avoid movement, impact or mechanical stress until the material has reached sufficient hardness.

A practical format for professional repairs

Epoxi Aqua is available in a 114-gram epoxy stick. Its compact packaging makes it easy to store and allows the product to be kept ready for occasional repairs without preparing large quantities.

With Epoxi Aqua, Magmont offers a practical and resistant solution for applications where moisture or direct contact with water makes the use of traditional adhesives more difficult.
